Festival Atmosphere
Our E&N Wedding Festival will be a weekend of celebratory events and fun activities for an international crowd of our absolute favorite people. It will all take place in a beautiful beech forest in the vicinity of Skanderborg -- a lovely lakeside town about 28 km / 17 miles south of Aarhus.
We have put together an exciting festival plan -- including a welcome party on Thursday night, some optional activities on Friday morning, an afternoon wedding ceremony (surprise!) followed by a cake reception, and finally an enchanting dinner party stretching into the wee hours of the night. Even so, we warmly welcome any contributions to the celebrations that you might want to make -- be it quirky, heartfelt, profound, or both ;-)
How you can contribute
At Danish weddings, it is common for guests to celebrate the newlyweds by giving speeches, crafting new lyrics about the couple for well-known songs, organizing quizzes, sharing their musical skills etc. This normally happens during the dinner party on the wedding day -- but at our festival, we also have Thursday night available for all sorts of tomfoolery. All are welcome to contribute -- also you!

Dresscodes
Thursday (welcome dinner): Garden Party Casual
Friday (ceremony onwards): Forest-Friendly Formal.
We encourage our guests to dress up, play with color, but perhaps keep in mind we will be outside most of the day (meaning stillettos are not recommended). This website is a reflection of the vibrant colors we'll be decorating with on the day.

Accommodation
To get the full "festival experience", we hope that you will all overnight with us on location at the forest wedding venue Danhostel Skanderborg during the two nights. We have booked the entire facility and are able to offer our guests accommodation at a reduced rate of DKK 650 / USD 100 / 87 EUR / 75 GBP per person - this includes a two nights stay with bed linens, towels, breakfast both mornings, and our company!
Despite its name, this is not like the large dormitories with endless bunkbeds that many associate with staying in 'hostels' during their student days. Do not fear! Danhostel Skanderborg is a small, family-owned business with a deep love for nature, offering modern accommodation in spacious cottage-style cabins with kitchenette (up to 6 people) and rooms with two single beds and two bunkbeds featuring a separate bathroom (up to 4 people).

Reservations & payment
In order to reserve a spot, you will be asked if you are staying at Danhostel in the RSVP form.
Payment for accommodation can be made through either MobilePay (DKK), Venmo (USD), or via bank transfer with Wise (EUR/GBP/USD). On desktop scan or click the QR-codes. On mobile devices click the app title.
The fine print!
Because your spot will be reserved for the entire festival, the set price is the same for guests staying 1 or 2 nights. We will distribute guests between the available cabins and rooms to the very best of our ability, prioritizing--to the widest extent possible--that you get to share with people you know. We are looking forward to welcoming you and hope for your understanding and flexibility.
Festival
Our goal is to spend time with all of you, so everyone is invited for the "wedding festival" from Thursday afternoon to Saturday midday on Skanderborg Lake.
Camp Swan Lake
Festivities are held at a forest venue with lodging available for everyone for two nights. The cost of lodging per guest is 650DKK (100USD) in total.
Adults-only
Please be aware that the wedding is an adults-only occasion, with the exception of close family coming from overseas.
Travel
Danhostel Skanderborg is located south of Skanderborg Station, to which trains arrive frequently. If you are without a car, we are happy arrange that someone picks you up from the station.
For those travelling by car, there is a free parking at Danhostel.

[Un]Registry
Your presence at the festival is truly the best gift. Your time and travel costs to celebrate with us are high, so we do not have a gift registry.
For those who absolutely insist, you can contribute to our honeymoon, which we hope to take in October 2026.
